What a fortnight it has been. The first week back at work was manic but good fun and this week was just as busy!

It was my Godson's second birthday so I had to juggle my walking days - military planning. I am finally starting to feel better and have had a few brilliant gym sessions and a few long walks.
On Monday, I had to drive in to work early to meet the super cars - it was a brilliant morning trying out a Porsche and a Jaguar!
It was world book day on Thursday. I must say going to work dressed as a pirate from "Pirates Love Underpants," did feel a little strange.

This weekend I have really got back to walking with a lovely 15km stroll along the coast path from Starcross and into Dawlish. I discovered the coast path doesn't actually go along the sea wall, instead, going over the top of the cliffs with some splendid views. I returned along the sea wall having stopped for lunch to allow the tide to go out. It was very refreshing and nice to explore an area on foot which I have travelled through hundreds of times by train. There are so many nice views which I had never had the chance to spot from the train. There are lots of pictures as, between the rain showers, it was extremely pretty - apart from walking through the holiday parks at Dawlish Warren. I'm glad I have never spent a holiday there! My favourite photo is the one of the dog as he absolutely photobombed the picture.

Today, I needed to go to Launceston so made the most of the situation with a nice walk at Roadford Lake. It was blowing a gale but the sun was shining, until the hale came! It was so heavy that it hurt and I ended up hiding out in a cob shelter for a while. Then, I had no other choice but to hide in the cafe. It was tough! But I've met and exceeded this week's target and hopefully am now on the way to making up the lost distance from when I was ill. Check out the photo of the storm just before it hit. You can definitely see it coming. It was lovely to be able to get out in the open two days in a row. Here's hoping we have a decent spell of fine weather!
